Thankful

Among all that I am appreciative for, from my wonderful crazy family and friends, to the friendly trees that grow in my backyard, right now, I am so appreciative for change. And in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I would love to share a few words about how wonderful change is and how much it makes life sweet.

After I graduated college with a B.S. in Biology, I felt lost and only knew how I felt being inside and in the lab all those years. I loved the work but I was always looking toward graduation so I could be done. As I look back now I’m so thankful to learn what I didn’t truly enjoy doing, and that I took my chance to change and put my efforts into an occupation that fulfills my heart and soul.

I am so thankful for the changes that life gave me to lead me to where I need to be.  I am so ridiculously happy everyday I go to work, when I paint a house, or fix something that needs repairing. I get to meet new people all the time and talk to them about how gorgeous life is for all of us! I love seeing a home look new after I put my hands to work in it, or seeing someone smile after I’ve helped fix a problem they had. The job I’m in is just the best place I could ever be right now and I hope you feel the same way about what you do.

As my jobs changed to put me in the perfect work environment, so did my surroundings allow only the most perfect people in my life. I have the best family and friends that anyone could ask for. Now, living in my hometown, I am so happy that I live within an hour of most of the people I love. I hope each of you who read this know how infinitely appreciative and thankful I am for your place in my life. And even if I’m a stranger to you, I would love to say thank you for reading my words, and I hope you feel the love in them.

If right now you’re experiencing a change you don’t feel good about, I hope you hang in there and wait to see where it leads you. Change is a good thing 🖤

The universe has a funny way of taking us on a fun path along the way to our best and brightest joys. It is my hope we can all focus on the things that make our hearts sing in thanksgiving every chance we get.

Happy thanksgiving!

Love and Light,

Mad Murph
